When I began making jewelry I used Danforth Pewter buttons as the closures because at that time we didn't have a lot of choices in the "toggle" world. There just weren't that many designs like there are today, however I have never tired of using these beautifully crafted shank-backed buttons for my bracelets and am asked quite often to add them to the shoppe.
You have to have a unique piece to use a button and the button iteself becomes a talking point too, which is fun.

This button is my favorite, hands down. The Dogwood button. Several reasons... first we have a gorgeous (and enormous) dogwood tree in our back yard and both of my pups are underneath it. Everytime it blooms I think of them. It's one of the most beautiful trees I've ever seen. The second reason is the first bracelet I ever made for myself was using this particular button and I still wear it today. :) So it's a special one to me particularly, but it's so lovely that I know everyone else will love it too.
These buttons are thick. Their shank-back is molded together with the button and not "attached" as a separate piece. I love them and soon I'll add more to the shoppe with various themes.

Sweet petal earrings too. Simple and elegant.
Note: This bracelet is 8" in length but will fit an average-sized wrist. It can also be duplicated, but you'll need to email me for details as I won't be able to make it right away. |
