Summertime is so close. It's that time when you can roast marshmallows over firelight and enjoy the fellowship of friends, letting the day come to a close without a worry or care of school activities or getting up early to meet the bus. It's that time of year when everyone slows down, when we can just be. It's such a good time of year.
When this new frit came, I wasn't sure how it would turn out, it's really like that with any frit really. So many times it holds secrets until the beads fire and cool down, and you can open that kiln door and see the glorious result. Yes, there are times when they don't exactly turn out like you'd thought, but in most cases you can sing with joy at this amazing creation that has worked its magic with the melting of glass. I think it's why after eight years, I'm still here loving what I do.
...these beads are so beautiful. They have color and depth and they are so sparkly... they look wet! They are stunning! They're all encased but one (when you wrap clear glass over the bead, making the insides "come alive"). I love them!
...accented with turquoise discs, jasper rondelles, and faceted amethyst and carnelian, adding warmth. Love love!
