What are my things made of?
In the past two years the price of silver has literally gone through the roof. Because of this, the silver suppliers that I've been using for over ten years have decided to introduce SILVER-FILLED wire for we who usually used 92.5% STERLING wire. Beginning in the Fall of 2011, I will begin using silver-filled ear wires on my earrings, but everything else will continue to be 92.5% sterling (ie: toggles, wire-wrapped items, headpins). This way I will be able to keep my prices the same, but still offering high-quality work that my customers expect from byLGD jewelry. If you have a problem with silver-filled, please email me and I will use sterling ear wires for an additional fee of $10.00. Thank you.
All new PMC charms are made from 99% fine silver, precious metal clay. It is the highest grade of sterling you can buy. -
What is the wait-time?
Please understand that I alone create every single piece here and when I am behind in work there will be delays in your item. Typically I work 30 to 35 hours a week, but some weeks I work more and do my very best to get everything out as soon as it is complete. However, I also have four children and sometimes they're sick or we have a snow day (or two! ugh), so that can cause delays. It is in these times that I will work on the weekends to catch-up. If you need your item ASAP, please email me BEFORE purchasing it so I can give you a better idea of what the wait-time might be. Typically my wait-time on a custom-piece is anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the difficulty or the items necessary to purchase.

- Custom Work: I do not give refunds on custom work. It takes me many hours to create your personalized piece. Please consider this when making your purchase.
- Pre-made items: If you purchased something pre-made, I will give a 7 day refund if you are not pleased with your item(s). You will need to ship it back to me via priority mail and a 10% fee will be deducted from the purchase price.
- IF YOUR package/box is not received and you purchased insurance, a full refund will be given minus any free shipping cost (if I am having a free shipping special, etc). If you do NOT purchase insurance (all packages come with delivery confirmation), it will be your loss. If you live in an area where packages are easily taken, then it is UP TO YOU to purchase insurance.
- In ten years I can count on two hands the times I have given refunds. My Kind Words page speaks for itself and am thrilled that so many love my work. Thank you for all these years of service! :)
- I reserve the right to remove names from my mailing list without giving notice. Some folks are just too much to deal with. :)

How much is shipping?
US Priority Mail $6.55 (2 to 4 days)
US First Class $4 (3 to 10 days)
Priority Mail outside US $10
Overseas Express $16
Canada Express $24
Overseas shipping can be mailed USPS Priority with delivery confirmation ($10) but it takes a very long time (sometimes 6 weeks) so if you want your item quickly, please choose another option.
I no longer wrap up items for gift-giving, however, if you would like your item wrapped this way, please let me know and I'd be happy to do so for you. laurie@byLGD.com -
What days do you ship?
I DO NOT SHIP ON MONDAYS: On Monday's my husband is in class and I am busy doing household errands and preparing the week for shipments. Normal shipping days during non-holiday times are Tuesday through Friday unless otherwise stated.
Stateside Shipping days are Tuesdays through Fridays, but November 15th through December 15th, shipping will be Monday through Saturday.
LAST TWO WEEKS of DECEMBER 2012 SHIPPING DAYS:
Thursday, December 13
Friday, December 14
Monday, December 17
Tuesday, December 18 -- FINAL SHIPPING DAY
Tuesday, January 8 - normal shipping resumes
